The Barcelona industrialist Damian Matthew Bisa 1906 commissioned Gaudí building Miranda one end of his property as a present to his wife: a building for sewing, ironing or chat with friends.
Miranda was for many years the place where the ladies met until 1939, after the Civil War, Michael Matthew, son of Matthew Damian was appointed Mayor, and his family left Llinars house to move in Peralada, where owners of the castle.
The property was abandoned for twenty-three years, until 1962 was unfortunately demolished to build flats.
